Default xtractor recovery tool????

Has anyone used one and if so how did it work and would it work in snow? I would guess not the fluffy snow but was wondering about the harder spring snow. thanks Oh by the way it would be hopefully pulling out my xp 550.

Personally I have never seen one being used, or know of anyone using one. Looks a bit unsafe to me. I would be afraid that anchor coming out of the ground and slinging back at the rider. Even in there own video at Xtractor | How It Works: The Xtractor (TM) ATV Winch Anchor Vehicle Recovery System ATV Accessory, - 4 wheeler, ATV and UTV Winch Accessoriesit show the cable snapping which all that force is being put back on the anchor.
If your in the woods try investing in a longer tow strap to winch out. If your in the loose stuff like the video's and by yourself try a bumper jack and shove the dirt back under the tires.
My overall opinion is there's better places to put your money to work for you.
