Hi, would like to get a KN filter to improve performance....do I have to do anything else? Mechanically Challenged here.

We have several SP500's in our group and we all have K&N Filters. None of us had to re-jet.
I like the K&N's cause they last along time, where once the factory filter gets wet, it is trash.

I wouldn't recommend putting a K&N on a 2-stroke without properly checking the jetting/adjustments.
