There is a black wire coming out of the CDI module, try disconnecting it. This wire controls rev limiter. The coil may be an issue with a poor ground. You really need to confirm whether this is a fuel or spark issue. Most parts stores carry a spark checker that you can put on the plug and other end to plug wire. I have several types, but one with a light would be good to confirm spark easily. Or try taking along some starting fluid and see if it starts, GO EASY ON STARTING FLUID, just a small amount is needed. If it fires up it is a fuel problem, if not most likely compression or ignition related. Hope this helps.

I re- installed coil today with new bolts and cleaned all rust . Checked spark at spark plug. It only sparks once during first intial push of starter button, then no spark while still cranking on starter. Next i removed black wire from cdi to electric panal. This gave me cotinuose spark while cranking with starter. I guess this proves its electrical. I will go throu all on off switch conections to clean next. I got atv started and adjusted idle. I restled puting it in low gear then gased it witch bogs it down and died.I need to adjust shifter linkages. I got it restartyed and tried again ,this time it started moving so i rode atv firsrt time since i got it around for about 10 minutes in low . It seemed to still be lacking power, but did move. I have to say today was posirtve progress made. Then a red warrning light came on. I guess temp light so i shut it down. I also realized i still havent bleed air radiator through the cylinder heed bleed screw. Do you bleed it while running engine? Radiator fan has never come on so i guess its broke too.

Great to hear you got to ride it. I know that's a good feeling. I am not sure about the bleeding process as i have a hpd trail head with no bleed. I just bleed it at the top hose before starting and had no problems. the red light on my 400 is for low oil. Did you reconnect the black wire after you started it? If not you may have other issues on the low power, like spark plug, ignition, or fuel problem. Keep up your progress and you get the help you need.

I tryied atv again today. Got it stasrted adjusted on carb , carb stating to act promising while running with air box off. Then i reconected black wire while running it had no affects one way or the other. Its power and rev dropped to a little above idle is all i could get out of it. When i did get it to rev and let off gas to idle it bogged down and you cant get it to rev back up and it dies. I then tried to run it with airbox and all i could get it to do is run with nothing above idle. This is so frustrating
