Question windshield ??????

Hi all, Anyone know if a Polaris Lock n Ride windshield ('05 and newer) will work on my '03 Sportsman and if not why? My local dealer said no, but he could'nt remember why. Are the handlebars different??? I picked up a Moose windshield cheap but would rather have the LnR one if it fit. I realize the shape of the pod will be alittle different. Thanks for any replies.

Cool L n R windshield

OK, I took the moose windshield back and got the Polaris LnR tall windshield. Took a lot of manipulating all the cables etc. on the handlebars to put on, the left side braided brake cable was the worst to work around. IMO, NOT a 15 sec. easy take off like they claim. Looks pretty good although the cutout does'nt match the pod. Oh well I'll keep it on and see if it holds up. Any comments??? Thanks

yup. i hear ya. it took me more than a few seconds to mount my lock and ride tall windshiled on a 08 sp. had to move all the wires and cables. so what i did was leave the mounts on and remove the 2 bolts that hold the windshield to the arms.

I'll probably do the same on my 850...those quick release brackets are not so user friendly!

Ya thats what I was thinking too. I thought maybe the clamps would open wide enough to clamp around the numerous cables etc. but they did'nt. Thanks for replies guys
