i have the garmin nuvi 500 does anyone have this gps and what setting do i use for atv trails

 

i just got the nuvi 205W which it does lay bread crumbs and has 1000 way points. I had to go into the trip log and turn it on to "SHOW TRIP LOG" maybe that is similar

 

RR, from the main screen pick "tools", then "settings", then the down arrow in the lower right, then "map". Pick "Map View" and choose either Track Up or North Up for the Topo maps. If trying to set it so it leaves a trail do the above steps except for the last step. On the Map screen pick "Trip Log". You can then choose to leave a trail or not. Hope this helps.
