The CV joint has been clicking all the time, and I was wondering if this could be the solution? POLARIS Sportsman 335 400 500 Inner CV Joint Kit 99-07 : eBay Motors (item 160417737568 end time Apr-25-10 18:43:04 PDT)

Yeah CV joints tend to click when they get bad and with a torn boot their time is limited. (Although yours doesn't look like it has been torn too long - or you have been greasing it)
You could pull it all apart and just do the inner CV joint but (IMO) the best thing to do would be a complete new shaft assemby because it is a 8 year old machine. When you look at the cost of the shaft assy it makes sense. All new everything and pre-assembled.
Not saying you should get this exact shaft. Their are alot of them out there.
