Default Do I need spacers?

Just picked up what appear to be Polaris Bruiser rims 12" with 27" Mudlites for a really good price. 27x10x12 front and 27x12x12 on the rear. Will these fit a 2006 500HO without spacers? I have a lift kit on the bike as well.
Tried search but couldn't find this setup specifically.

Thanks

Best bet is to mount them and see if you have any clearance issues. Offset should be fine since they are popo rims but it doesn't hurt to double check.

What kind of clearance is acceptable? Can measure what is on there now and compare I guess but would like some kind of guide.

Thanks

Just get one of the front tires up off the ground with a jack after putting the new tire/rim on. Spin and see if you have a good 1/4" of clearance between the tire and the tie rod end. I had to put 3/8" longer studs on my quad and then space my stock rims out the same 3/8" to give myself about 1/4" of clearance. I also put it in Neutral and rolled it under it's own weight to make sure the clearance was good while rolling.

Thanks!! I can get a good deal on a set of 1 inch spacers from a friend but don't want to run them if they are not necessary.

Anybody else run these wheels?

You have to watch it with 1" spacers. I don't know where you are, but where we ride there are gates on the trails that are around 50-52" wide. If you add 1" spacers to a 2006 Sportsman for example you've made the quad 50" wide to start. This doesn't take into account the extra width of the tires. If you go from a stock 8" to the 10" tires you are adding another inch on the outside of each tire for a total of 52". Just some things to think about.

Thanks, I'll measure and hope for a 1/4 inch clearance.

Absolutely....Not sure about your riding areas, but there are gates I just get my stock 850 through. The posts are set in concrete at exactly 50", not 51 or 52.

Still waiting on delivery!! Will check this weekend.

I understand about the trail thing, not many official trails here so don't have to worry too much about that.

What do the guys with the really big tires do? 28's ++ ??
