Need help Finding a service manual

Exclamation Need help Finding a service manual

I have a sportsman 400 2004 I have been searching for a service manual I checked the site that have been sugested here even talked to the dealer this is one of those 1 year wanders sportsman 2004 400/500. the machine doent spark was running and just stopped I been looking to 3 parts that it might be the cheapest is $200.00 so I just dont want to start just buying parts need the manual to trouble shoot. Thanks

I'll check tomorrow and see if I have it, but you'll probably have to pay and download it on the net, or order one at the dealer

some models were half year models say like 2004.5 as they changed the bike mid year. thats the big differnce. you should be able to look at your sticker w/ the date of mfg. and use that to find out if it's a half year bike by the month. just an idea.

Thanks I might have to go with that one 1996-2008 big span on these machines kinda like cars got a manual for a jeep covered alot of items but not what I needed I have other polaris manuals and there are good I need to troubleshoot why my wifes machine stopped running and no spark.

That's Clymer manual in the link.............I myself would only buy the Polaris Factory Service Manual, (which I have for the 2006 450)Due to the fact that these cover everything in great detail and not general to all models when you go aftermaket..........JMO.....Caper.............

thanks for the help I found what looks to be a polaris service manual for that year tradebits lead me to another site midwestmanuals cost 9.95 that is cheap I have a couple of authentic polaris manuals looks the same but in pdf so nice of an option for searching polaris should add this to there site and charge abou 20.00 and people would buy them they give owners and sercive manuals away in pdf but have to order the baperback version of the service manual maybe 102.00 an hour shop fee here might explain why its hard to get a manual.

I have used a few midwest manuals, and they are polaris manuals with a different front cover, and different trademarks.
