Default Adc vs ebs

On my 550XP 09 Sportsman, I don't see any difference in the two systems on the same hill. Anyone else notice this?

On my 09 850, there is a definite difference between the ADC and EBS. The ADC will creep downhill, handsfree, at about 1 MPH. The EBS will gain speed slowly over the length of the descent. The EBS will occasionally slide the rears too. The ADC never has done that on mine.

My 07 sp500 creeps down a steep hill so slowly I could get off and walk ahead of it with the adc. With just the ebs it's slow but will gain speed as bitterfitter said. I saw a review on the xp's when they first came out and they said the 850 was noticably slower on decent vs. the 550. Makes me wonder why my 07 500 adc would work better than the new and improved model. Not to mention why would the 550 differ from the 850.

Does the ADC control all four wheels and EBS only the rear two?

Apparently thats the idea. I guess I'll pick a good, steep hill and try them both again and pay real close attention to the differences ( if any).

Thanks guys.

Default Ebs

My 07 800, does not have ADC option, going down a steep hill with EBS I have my hands full. Rear end slides left to right, have to blip throttle to engage clutch to keep from coming around. two guys I ride with have ADC and they love it compared to EBS

yes that is the idea. the ebs is a engine braking system in which in your only in 2x4 the rear wheels can lock up on a steep loose hill as where the adc locked in is like having all 4 wheels braking on w/ out using the brakes. the adc is designed to work w/ the ebs to keep all wheels locked together and creep down a hill instead of sliding. oh and my adc works excellent on the steeeps hill under all condtions.

ADC works a little too good. In some cases I'll have to give it a little bit of
throttle. To carry me down the hill.
