Default Phoenix 200 brakes

Has anyone replaced the rear shoes and how was it?
I just ordered a set of shoes for my sons 200 and just wanted to know if I have suprises to look foward to with pulling the drum or anything else. Thanks in advance.....Steve

After you remove the rear drum cover the drum can be tapped off after you remove all tension on the brake cable. Sometimes if the drum cover seal leaks, the drum can be a little rusted and hard to get off. Just lightly pry on the inner drum lip as you tap on the drum, should come off. Be sure to really clean the inside of the drum as the new shoes can be a tight fit at times. OPT

Hey OPT thanks for the info I knocked it out in about 30 minutes. The screws for the drum cover were a PITA a$$ but I got them loose with vise grips. The drum was full of water and muck I found that the O-Ring is shot so I have a new one on order. Thanks again.
