It seems like every time I turn around I have to drain starter and pullstarter when I go through a foot or two of water. This means I have to pull off the skid plate and remove 2 screws then redo everything back. My question is what if I leave the drain screws out. It seems they would always drain and the skid plate keeps out most junk. I go through a lot of water and the constant drain plug removal is a pain in the butt. Starter life should be longer without water bildup. The holes are real small and I would not think much dirt or junk would get in them.???? What do you guys think??????

Thanks in advance

Brad,

Maybe you could drill a hole in the plastic skid plate so you could remove the plug without taking it off every time. BK
