Does anyone know which of the two air filters allows for better performance? Please help!

You'll get better performance from either one over stock. The decision should be made by what type of riding. Uni will filter fines better than K&N. So if you ride in areas where there is alot of fine dry dusty particles go with the Uni.

As good as I believe K&N to be, I would agree that UniFilter is the way to go with ATVs. I run Uni's in both my Polari.

The K&N allows better airflow, but the UNI filters smaller particles, but either will outflow the stock filter.

Hey, you guys are smarter than some of the diesel guys I have to deal with!

Just spoke to a guy with 10k on a rebuild, and his chromium levels doubled on his oil analysis. So did SILICON! What air filter? Just put in a spanky new K&N a few hundred miles ago!

Simply put, more top cylinder wear from dirt getting through K&N filter!

I have a K&N and it gave me about 3mph on the top end. If you have prefilters for your system, it's a great filter. If not it still is a great filter. It will last forever because you can clean and reoil it. But if you're not running a prefilter, check it frequently to make sure oil is still catching the dirt.

On another note, I have something to point out about K&N.
