Default Scrambler Sprocket

Well turns out i killed the sprocket on the gearbox, anyways to make this quick does the sprocket go on with the flat side towards the gearcase? or with the spacer side to the gearcase?
Only reason i ask is because the chain didnt look proper before so im wondering if the last owner put it on wrong??? Thanks.

flat side goes towards snapring. polaris website online parts manual is a good resource.
you can get parts breakdowns from ronnies.com too.

This is for sure?? cause that means mine has been on wrong the whole time. That would throw the chain alignment off pretty good no?
