Default 99 Sportsman 500 electircal problems

98 or 99 Sportsman 500 having issues.

Speedometer doesn't work. Rear brake light doesn't work. Temp warning light doesn't work. Also are the bumper lights supposed to be on when the center headlight is on, bright?

According to the Clymer manual, all these run on the same circuit, but so does the starter? Starts with the key and switch.

The 98 wiring diagram is showing a fuse somewhere in the accessory wire, red/white stripe. 99 doesn't show this fuse.

Any idea where this 'fuse' would be?

I don't know if its a 98 or a 99. Been told it was a 99 from previous owner but some of the wiring looks to be 98 vintage.

I've spent that last month on this thing trying to get it running. Replaced the stator and head gasket because both were bad. Finally got it running OK and now this.
