Default 1996 sportsman 400 leaking oil????

I was riding yesterday and noticed oil on the cover of the left side. I have no clue where its coming from. I cranked it and let it run for a little while this morning, but there was no oil leaking. I did notice that there seems to be some oil coming from around the front carb area. Does anyone have a clue of where its coming from and what I should do??? I can't find my manual. Thanks!!

if you've put oil in it recently, maybe while riding, it sloshed out the vent tube, dribbling on the tank and belt cover
also check your hose connections and check hoses

yep check your vent for splillage from over filling or a loose pipe or cracked hose.
