Default To SEAFOAM or not to SEAFOAM

I hear mention of SEAFOAM on this forum alot. Just wondering what it is, does, and how to use it.
Any Cons or is it all Pros.

It's basically a fuel system cleaner that you add a pre established amount to help clean out a carb or efi system. And yes it works great esp if your quad has been sitting a while with gas in the tank.

Ditto! I also run some in the oil just before changing. Helps keep things nice and clean.

A good question might be what doesn't Seafoam help.

Poured some in the intake of my truck and cleaned it out really well. Just be sure to be outside and upwind when you do that.

Well, I never was one on the Seafoam bandwagon till yesterday, my sons Buick had a error code P0305, meaning #5 cylinder was a misfire. Well, I put a can in to the tank, and today, we have lift off again!! Damn stuff cleaned the injectors mighty fine, saved a huge repair bill for $8

I run seafoam in everything. In the fuel to clean carb/EFI and in the oil. I put some in my oil (just before an oil change) for a sticky lifter and worked wonders. Many people don;t know this but Seafoam also makes a different version for Transmissions. Works great as well cleaning valves, etc.

Again...Great Product! I have used it for years in everything, esp in my diesel Suburban 6.5. I drain the fuel filter canister and fill it with straight Seafoam and then install new fuel filter. It does wonders for the injector pump. I have 199,000 miles, zero work on the injector, and it idles so smooth that a recent mechanic asked about the smooth idle. Can't go wrong with it.
