Default 07 700 EFI Trans skipping

well my 2007 700 efi is having transmission issues, it sort of "skips" while under load, seems to be alright if im not going up a steep hill or trying to move with the brakes on. It does not have the ADC if that matters. The belt is also in very good condtion and when you run it under load with the belt cover off you can see that it is the transmission that is "skipping". Any ideas on what this is?

might be the silent chain in the transmission loose or worn out?

The chain had stretched and two of the gears had worn on mine. It was fine once it popped into gear. It shifts into all the gears much smoother now. Real test will be the next two weeks of riding.

got the tranny apart today and all of the gears and chains/sprockets look good with no sign of any damage. The chain for the output shaft was a little loose but there was no signs that it has skipped over any of the teeth on the sprockets. When i took the output shaft cover off the spiral bevel gear and ring gear seemed to be a little loose, not sure if this was caused from me taking off the cover and having the ring gear get pulled up a bit or if i need to put another shim on the top of the ring gear? if that was the case would that problem cause the same symptoms that the worn chain would? Should i just put it back together and see if the problems gone?

Default trans

I would change the silent chain while you have the trans apart.
