i was changing my hub strut seals on my 2000 polaris sportsman 500 because they were badly scored an leaking but noticed my hub coil had the black outside plastic cracked on it and when i pulled the seal off part of the plastic fell off is it ok to still use this hub seal as it was working before tearing it apart.

 

i would think it won't be sealed from water and mud getting in to it, but thats just a guess.
