99 500 magnum

Default 99 500 magnum

is there any way to change the caster on a magnum 500? mine has been extremely hard to steer from day one. it is a 4/4. just found this site. any and all help would be appreciated

guess the old man is asking the impossible but this thing is harder to steer than ANY 4 wheeler i have ever ridden

Have you change your front hub AWD fluids? Sounds like one Hilliary is not releasing. Go in reverse while in a sharp turn for a few yards,that usually unlocks it.

have had that problem. this is different. it is i am almost sure way to much caster in the front wheels. steers easy backing up. but thanks for the reply. keep them coming interested in all suggestions.

Sounds like the hubs are not releasing.

definitely know when the hubs dont release old man cant steer then for sure

take a piece of string. tie to the trailer hitch around rear tire, past front tire, hook it to a jack stand, make string just touch the front of rear tire, measureoff of front and rear of front wheel,should be set straight ahead or toed out 1/16to1/8 inch, as for caster. are your fron springs worn out and sagging?

have checked toe in. i bought this thing new dealer wouldnt or couldnt do anything about it. was more interested in selling them than follow up on problems. hard to steer from day one
