Default 2004 TrailBoss 330 tranny ?

I just bought an 04 trailboss 330 and if I shift from N to H slowly it sounds like it grinds. if you do it alittle faster you dont hear any grind at all. It does the samething going into R. Is this normal ?

I have tried turning down the idle but that doesnt make any difference

thanks in advance

Sounds normal to me. The gears are not syncronized. My scrambler does it. Just let it idle down and push or pull it into gear quickly.
