Default Magnum frount ball joint help.

Need some help guys, the wifes 02 magnum lost the ball joint on the right frount lower joint to the a-arm. Im glad she wasnt moving very fast. Anyway Im having a difficuilt time removing the ball joint housing. The knuckle is still attached to the shock, thinking about removing so I can use the vice. I've tried PB blaster heat and a vice grip until there's not enough left to grip. Thought about drilling through the knuckle so I could get some oil but not sure if that will really help. Im at a lost guys so any help would be great.

some people say just squirting grease in the zirk will push the joint out. try doing that and some heat on the strut part(not too much) and see if it doesn't pop out.
on mine, one side i had to use the vise grips and hammer deal and the other side almost fell out.

Thanks for the zerk ideal, I'll give it a try. Its soaking in PB Blaster right now. This is the hardest one I've ever had, hope I don't have to go to the dealer. I'm already paid him an arm and a leg.

If you have the puller for the ball joints you could weld the old stud back in the joint itself and pull it normally. Ive done that hundreds of time. just weld it in as straight as you can. If you don't have the puller, you could weld it in and take the strut to the dealer and let them pull it, then you install the new one yourself. it wouldn't take them 5 minutes. i can't imagine it would cost too much to do it that way.

Thought about the welding thing but worried about the alium. around the joint. Kind of left that for my last resort. A bolt sticking out would be great to pukk on about now. Thanks for the advice, makes me feel better.
