Default Hawkeye Help

'06 Hawkeye 4 x 4. I found the clear plastic tube (30"?) laying on the ground. I know this is mounted in the front, presumably for an air vent. But I've climbed all over and can't locate where the tube should attach. Anyone?

Check for a fitting on top of the steering box or front differential.

Did the hose completely fall off... was it more to one side then the other and check the air box to start with...there are a few that run form the air box and one maybe two that run to the pod...

Yes, it came completely off. I remember seeing it hanging nearly straight down from the top. It must have connected somewhere behind the cargo compartment, and up high. I can't really see how to access that area to even SEE where it came off.

you sure that is not your battery vent line? carb vents would be up high so water can't get in to it.

Pretty sure it's the battery vent. They aren't attached very good. Had the same thing happen on my daughter's 08 300.

Some batteries have a vent, basically looks like plastic nipple just big enough to hook on the plastic line to. Should be on the top edge of the battery.

If you lift the battery up you will see the nipple on the right side(when seated on the wheeler and the hole it goes through. Snakes down from the right to left front of the machine. There's a clamp on the front frame to hold it. I suggest adding a zip-tie or two along the way to keep it firmly in place.
