Predator 500 Starting Problem - Plug Cable or what? Please help!
I have a 2007 Polaris Predator 500 that will not start. It was riden for a couple days and was running great. No problems whatsoever. Went to start it the next morning and it fails to turn over. I tried to even jump start it on a hill several times and nothing.
I checked the plug and it was fairly dirty. I replaced it with a new one and gapped it properly. Still won't start. The kill switch is in the run position and it has plenty of gas. I pull out the plug and tested it against some metal and can see a spark.
What I did notice is that the plug wire came off the plug boot very easily. Is this supposed to do that? The wire inside looks somewhat deteriorated. I included a photo. Could this be the problem, even though I am seeing some spark when testing it?
Thanks in advance.
