Great pics, except for the one where hes standing mere inches from a fatal fall,should have had a rope on him !!
Where do you access the trail from Silver Bay, right at the parking lot at the American Inn? there is a service road there that leads to trail systems, used it last year at the big ATV parade to set the record.

There is a lot of places to link up to the trails from. But you are correct, the best place is probbly the american inn there is plenty of room to get a trailer in and out from there. plus if you go behiend the hotel there is ACRES of land were you can even park a big RV and it right next to the lake!!! I was the lucky winner of the Muddiest Wheeler award!
