ok folks it's my turn for getting the help form our master wiring engineers. i've had my battery run flat for a while and thinking i had a bad battery that wouldn't hold charge i just put off spending on a new one. well i now know it's not the battery as leaving it unhooked for weeks it doesn't loose any voltage. hook up the battery and yup it goes flat. it takes a couple of weeks(i think it does anyways) so it's a real low draw but it's enough so when you connect the neg. it actually has a little ark from power drawing. what i have found(process of ruling out crap) is if you unhook the 5 amp fuse it will s************************************************* ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** *******p drawing power. this fuse controls the speedo and the ecu(of couse the 2 worse things). now unhooking the speedo harness it still drawing(meaning the speedo is fine and not the issue and it works fine anyways) but when you unhook the ecu it s************************************************* ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** *******ps drawing power. the bike runs and functions fine, so i'm not sure what the hell is making it draw power and drain the battery. i've just been through alot of the wires trying ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ****** find it w/ no luck. if you unhook the recifier it s************************************************* ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** *************************pd drawing as it feeds the bike w/ the power so hard ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ****** pin point it. anyone ever had this or anything like this????

Have you had the battery actually load tested? You can show 12 volts but if you have a dead or dying cell the load tester will show it. I do this for cus****mers and have shown them that voltage is not the only proof that a battery is up **** snuff. OPT

Then unhook positive battery lead on the fully charged battery when installed and check for any voltage draw on the the positive lead, with the neg cable hooked up on the battery and black lead of voltmeter on the neg post??

Positive lead only unhooked and test the cable only. Neg cable remains hooked **** the battery. OPT
