Magnum 500:

And I thought I rode hard! How were you able to accomplish all that?

The over heating started out as a leaking water pump seal in which the light did not come on.
These thing did not happen at one time, but over a
6 month span. I have replaced both front hub seals, one cv joint,a fan motor, head gasket, temp
switch, cylinder, front rack, fly wheel and stator
which was not my fauld, the magnets fell out. I have added a temp gauge and I don't try to power out turning hard to the left or right no more.
some of things was me and some of these things just happen, but the more I replace I try to improve on it so it does not happen again.

500Mag, No offense intended

Sounds like you ride in a lot of water and mud, do you? Do you also have mud tires?

It sounds like the things that break down in the bayous and at FunWheeler Park.

The maintenance on my machines has dropped way way down since I don't ride in the Everglades anymore.

By reading the 2000/2001 parts manuals at the Polaris web site I noticed that the RMK has a different helix than the standard model. So it looks like they may be gearing it more for hilly riding than top speed.
