Now that we cleared that up
I own a 05 Sportsman 700 EFI and r chassis.

ecently UPGRADED to a 550 XP. I say upgraded cuz it is a whole new bag of tricks... Better ride and the Sportsman chassis, better handeling than the older chassis and the new 550 powerplant is more than you'll ever need! My 550 will pull wheelies but still gets right around 20MPG!!! I love my XP and will be buying another

None taken at all. I should have been more specific.

I am sorta glad that the 500HO is n the way out, after reading about the XP chassis, I am going to bite the bullet, and get the 550 Non EPS. I really love the idea of a wet sump oil system, so much easier to maintain too.

And all the other pluses with the XP Chassis.

Does your shifter move nice and smooth from gear to gear?

Thanks.

I like the XP550 also, but whats a mid bore 550 class ATV doing with a big bore atv price tag? Its chassis better be one gigantic leap over the KQ750 or SP800 at its price.

I really didn't think the price was to bad... I paid $6200 + tax on my 09 (but the 2010's were out so mine was a carryover) and the 500 H.O. is right around $5400 + Tax

That is not too bad. I was quoted $6,300 +Tax for the 500HO, and $7,400 +Tax for a 550 NON EPS, and that price on the XP could be adjusted (lower) a little with the demise of the 500HO.

All in all, I will not feel guilty about getting a 550, with what is has to offer.

Oh, I love the sound of that. I am not buying until spring, and even if Polaris does not can the 500HO (which is 99.9% certain) I am still buying a 550!!

Should really consider EPS with the heavier XP.
