Default Swamplites or Mudlite XTR

I'm new to the forum but I've been a proud Polaris since 2005.I just purchased a 2010 850XP EPS and I'm looking for different tires.I like alot of trail riding but I'm not afraid to muck it up either. Your feedback is much appreciated..

Both are good tires in my opinion but if I was going to choose between swamplites and the XTR's and money is not a problem. I'd spend the little extra and get the XTR's. Much better ride and handling compared to the bias ply swamplites.

I have the XTRs and love them. I've been on hundreds of miles of riding since I got them. Are good in snow, ice, rocks, deep mud, waterholes, hardpack, etc. Haven't regretted getting them at all.

If you want a Swamplight tire they do make a radial there called the Swamplight Reptile . I'm running IPT Terracross which now have 5300 miles on them and with the amount of tread left I'm going to run them another 2700 miles then replace at the 8000 mile mark .

Sorry to hijack but how do you like the Terracross's? Do you have the XD version? How have they held up for you with regard to wear, durability (i.e. punctures etc). Need shoes for my Grizzly's, am thinking of going with the Terracross on 1, maybe a set of Zillas for the other to change things up a bit.

Johhny I've heard alot of good reviews on the Zillas and they're fairly light as well. My bro runs XTR's on his and he likes them a lot, but are a bit heavier if that means anything to you.

Countryboy yes they are the XD version . As for how have they held up just re-read my post . They have 5300 miles on them and I figure I'll go 2700 more . I have never had a flat , never lost air they are a great long life tire . I figure if I can get 8000 miles out of a set of tires ( 5300 miles so far puncture free ) they have done well . I'll replace them with the same when that time comes ( end of next year 2011 ) .

I stay away from ITP myself, but that's just my opinion. Haven't had good experiences with them, but some others really like them.

Look at Maxxis and Pitbull tires.

welcome to the forum. i've had both tires and liked them. the swamps are good all round tire as is the xtr's. how ever the xtr's ride smoother(radials) and do better in the mud. imo
