Default Please help me find my Voltage Regulator

On my 2002 Sportsman 700 I know my regulator is toast as I only have 12.5 volts at my battery, running or not. I looked under the hood in front of the headlight but the only electronic components there is the CDI/ignition module. The parts fische shows it under the hood but it is not there. Does anyone know where it is on the 2002 700?

Thanks

you should be able to find it up under the front end by the radaitor. it should have 1 plug into it and it might be bolted on the A frame w/ a strap holding it in place. make sure the connections are good and not corroded and put di-electric grease on the conection.

well thats were it's suppose to be lol. if you look at a parts break down you can actually see the part. if you look up by the radaitor under the fron tof the bike(maybe behind the screen shroud) you should see it some where. i think it should be balck w/ like 4 or 5 wires(around that many i think) that plugs into one end and i think the other end may have a few holes in the steel part. good luck .

look in front of the rad. between bug screen on the side, should have a AL heatsink bolted between it and the frame or metal
