I just broke the rear axle on my scrambler 500 4x4 racing it in a hare scramble series in Pine Grove, PA. today. Needless to say, the day did not turn out as planned. I am now in the market for a new axle. I have heard alot of guys racing the scrambler stick with a stock axle because they usually are pretty strong. I am thinking maybe it had something to do with the aluminum being so cold today. Who knows? I have heard alot of people complain about the DuraBlue axle for this particular quad. Does anyone have any insight into this?

Well I can tell you that the Durablue is not all that great either. I have broken two of them and their so called lifetime warranty is a joke.

I just talked to Brent @ Fat Albert's Polaris and they are recommending to stay with a stock axle as well. That is fine with me since it is 1/3 the price of a durablue. They run a sweet MX polaris and get a ton more air than I do doing hare scramble and GNCC. I still can't believe the thing broke. I really wasn't that high in the air. Oh well, s..t happens!

I am from Pennsylvania. I am really not sure where Heavener or Poteau is. You must be near Fat Alberts Polaris. I deal with him strictly through the internet and phone contact. I have never actually been to the dealership though.

It might be worth taking it to the dealer to see if they would cover it for you, and or if Polaris would be interested in taking a look the broken one since they are hard to break. If Polaris wants to see it tell them they can trade it for a new one. ya never know. gj
