POLARIS BRAKE PADS SUCK
#2
Did you use Polaris pads as the replacements? I wore mine(rears) out with-in 3 weeks of getting mine. I replaced them with EBC's and haven't had to replace them yet. That's been over a year now.
And EBC's are cheaper than stockers.

On my 2000 Explorer 400, I went through 3 sets of pads. First the Polaris pads, then EBC "CARBON" pads, they took 2 weeks, so I put EBC "SINTERED" pads on and they seemed to last the longest (3 months), still on the quad when I traded it in.
SO make sure you get the SINTERED EBC pads.
Good Luck

Did you use the Polaris severe duty pads? I wore out my OEM brake pads by the 3rd ride. I then installed severe duty brake pads and they have held since (around 9 months). Oh yeah, I also consciously try not to use my brakes. LOL
I have held off buying any brass pads or kevlar pads as I suspect they will cause undue wear on the brake rotor. What exactly does a Polaris brake rotor cost anyways? If they are cheap perhaps I will start using some tougher brake pads.
