Scrambler engine junk?

Default Scrambler engine junk?

I have a 2000 Scrambler 400 4x4. I couldn't get it started so I rebuilt the carb but that was no help. It will fire up on starting fluid and sputter for a couple seconds but wont run on its own. It is getting fuel and spark but I just did a compression test and I only got 30psi. That seems pretty low to me. Maybe I did it wrong. Or maybe that's all there is. Any thoughts on what I should do now. Thxs.

No engines will run on less that 80lbs compression. Sounds like it is time for a top end rebuild.

Time for a rebuild.If you dont want to rebuild I have a 400 engine list for sale.

I thought engines need at least 100 lbs. to run?
At least 2-stroke Snowmobiles do .......I never seen a sled run with 80 lbs.?
