I recently posted a question about bearclaws & mudrunners for a sp500 and would like to say that after all the responses I will probably go with the runners. That was until yesterday.
Went riding with a guy who has vamps on a Mag 325 and I was on my sp500 with the tracker P's (riding around Auburn, Al). It was my observation that he didn't go trough any of the mud, water or climb any of the hills that much easier. I know the first thing ya'll are thinking is sp500 compared to a mag 325, no comparison right.
After seeing this I think I will opt for the Bearclaws, but does anybody know how the bearclaws wear?

thanks Milton

I ALSO HAVE A MAGNUM 325 4X4 WITH 25X10X12 ON FRONT AND 25X12.5X12 BEARCLAWS.I RUN MOSTLY ON HARD PACK WITH A LITTLE MUD THROWN IN FOR FUN.FOR A ALL AROUND TIRE ,I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.MINE ARE A 4-PLY BUT I THINK IF YOU GO TO A BIGGER SIZE THEY GO TO A 6-PLY.HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK.

i think the reason that the Mag325 dident do any better in the mud is because it couldent get any wheel speed. thoes tires are heavy and require a lot of power to spin, and the 325 just doesent have the hp.

I've been juggling this problem for awhile, Which tire to get? I want a smooth ride, I ride mostly dirt/rock trails with a little bit of mud throne in. I'm about 90% sure I'm going to get the Mudsharks, they look to be a good smooth all around tire.

Or instead of diffrent tires I could go with my other option a 2002 sportsman 700 EFI packed in the crate up in Roseau wating for me to take delivery.Pimped out with 26" Mudrunners on ITP Magnums. K&N air Filter, warn 2500# winch and extended mud guards, factory reverse light, modified headlights.
Then give the wife my 2000 sp500, does that sound like a plan or what?

With how long that sp700 roumor has been going on i would say more around the 2007-2010 range but if they bring it out in 2002 I certainley won't be mad at them for it,because with a 700sp you gotta expect a kick a$$ 700scram to be out soon after. Now won't that hual some serious a$$!
