Does anyone have one? How has it been? The local dealer has one on the floor thats marked down to $7000, I was half thinking about trading mine for it, am I nuts?
What I don't like about my x2 is how heavy it is and also the EFI seems problematic, that is the main reason. I need something reliable, I've had some issues with the 800. The 500 should be able to turn my 27" mudbugs fine shouldn't it?

$7000 seems high to me for a 500 HO. $ 5999.00 is msrp for the 2010 and I gave $4700 (no sale) for a new 08 in Al when they were trying to make room for the 09's but it was bone stock nothing extra. It has been bulletproof so far. The only problem I have had was a bad band on one of the rear Axel boots.

Ask these guy's for a quote to compare your price. It has been a while since I have looked at buying one so the $$ may have went a way up. And I did drive from Va to Al to save $1100.

I know lots of guys running 27's on their 500's, they don't have a problem turning the tires. I say go for it your unhappy with the 800.

MSRP for Can is $7499.00 with no extras. Sorry I wasn't thinking on my first post. I should have known by the price. But in the US you can get around $1000 off of the MSRP if you can find a high volume dealer and wait for the end of year clearance sales. I would think the same is true in Can. So all that said, unless you are looking for something that will pull the front wheels up when you hit the throtle or run over 55/60 MPH the 500 HO is a solid proven ATV and if I was going to buy another one tomorrow it would be a 500 HO. This is all because of what I use it for (trail riding, hunting and putting in food plots) I don't need the speed.

When I said the msrp for the '10 was 8 k, I meant the '09... I believe they dropped it for '10. In 2002 I paid $8200 for a Magnum 325, crazy. That Magnum must have been the slowest ATV ever made, it maxed out at around 30 mph... I only owned it 2 months and got rid of it for a KVF 650 (aka Prairie 650).
