Exclamation 325 trailboss engine knock????

Hey does anyone happen to know if the 325 engines are notorious for having engine trouble? I just got one used and its got a knock when its idling, and it almost goes away when its above idle? Any help would be appreciated?

The "knock" at idle is your clutch.

Don't worry about it.

I thought that too at first, but its not coming from the left side of the engine. I just thought i may have read somewhere that they re notorious for bad bearings. I just hope not.

The knock at idle is normal on the 325's. And no it's not your clutch. My 02 magnum 325 has knocked since day one, had the **** beat out it many times over and just keeps coming back for more. A little under powered but a very solid engine in my opinion. If the knock gets louder instead of fading away with the increase of rpm's then I'd worry.

Ok thats very reassuring, i ride many many miles away from my home, and i have been staying closer bc of the noise, i dont wanna walk 30 miles in the dark in the mountains above where i live. Does anyone know of an aftermarket company that makes cdi's that will raise the rev limit/top speed for these engines? (polaris 325).
