So I just tore apart the belt housing cover (easier than I thought) and sure enough, 2 dead mice, all busted up and droppings. Cleaned everything up as best I could, so hopefully the smell will go away. Still can't figure out what that other intake (the one up near the gas tank) connects to, never mind how to get to it. The more I look at it, it looks like it vents into the rear drive unit. If this is correct, I am concerned that some mice may have gotten into it. Would this mess things up and mean that I will have to have the rear drive unit torn apart and cleaned out, or just let it be?

Thanks

The snorkel on the side of the gas tank connects to the clutch cover. The snorkel at the back of the tank goes to the airbox.

If looking at the gas tank from riders position, there are two intakes. The one on the right goes to airbox, the one to the left of this one is the one I can't figure out. The 3rd one runs up along the left side of the gas tank and looks like it leads up towards the front of the ATV. This is the one that goes to the clutch cover and I was able to get at today.

Thanks

Thanks

The pipe on the back left side of the gas tank goes to the clutch cover as does the one the side of the gas tank(one is the intake and one is the exhaust for cooling the clutch).

YUP.them stinky dryer sheets`LL keep em off and out.
Stick one in the end of the muffler/tail pipe and another over the intake too and lay them all around the machine and the shed.

Exactly. If he is looking at a 3rd at the tank its the air intake for the air box. #4 is air intake, #11 is Air exhaust.

Depends on the mice. They seem to deter your regular house mouse somewhat but field mice don't seem to care. I've had them chew up an entire box of dryer sheets.
