Default Sportsman xp low windshield

I was looking at getting the low lock and ride winshield for my 850 for hunting season this year but I was wondering if they were worth the $$$. anyone have any experience with them??

I have one on my 850 and it is really nice for cold weather etc. You will feel no air blowing against your body but it will blow right around your ear level which I find a bit annoying. I've adjusted it as much as possible but it seems this is where the air flow passes by. So I just put in ear plugs when I'm riding for hunting season. The rest of the time I have a helmet on and it's all good. I think it is very well worth the money.

We have the low ones for summer riding and they are great, for cooler weather we use the tall ones. The low one provides for a slight deflection of the wind and works well with a helmet, If you don't wear a helmet during hunting I would opt for a taller one.

I've got the mid height (14") L & R on my XP and the trim on the top of the sheild is right where I want to look. Distracting. Going to order the tall one (19")

I have the tall one and recommend you go that route.

the area and season we hunt means alot of mud. The reason I don't want the tall windshield is I think it will spend a lot of time covered in mud and I don't wanna be tryijng to look through that.

If you ride dusty trails the other thing about the mid-high windshield is it puts the dust right in your face if you have a open face helmet not fun!! Other than that I love it and works great for winter keeping wind off the body and full face helmet no problems.

I have the same setup. Actaully, I've got a medium and a large I'll sell you. Large is definitely the way to go for winter. I run the small in the summer. PM me if you want med or large..
