550xp vs 850xp detailed discussion

Be aware that the 850 will hook in dry situations and go right, left or over backwards in a split second. Your body english on an 800+ pound machine won't save you. I have 5 atv's and in really hairy situations I am most comfortable on the smallest one (250 Xplorer). But as far as fun factor goes, I race the 850 up hills in the winter that the smaller machines won't even climb.

yea, but I doubt it will do it on its own, as long as you're not cocky and you approach it responsibly, I would think that an 850 would suffice my needs. my concern is that the weight itself (not under momentum) might cause the quad to become top heavy at steep slopes and rolls, I'm going through the youtube videos now trying to find someone cutting angles on the 850, no luck yet though, just lots of mudders. From what I read Wolf, it sounds like you ride like me, so do you have anything to say about how the 850 handles mountain terrain?
