oil injection
#1
i just replaced the engine in my 99 scrambler 400 4x4 with a mid 90s 400 trailblazer. how can i tell if the injection system is working? what are the adjustments on the cable for? I dont want to buy another engine, and just want to make sure its working right. would i be better off premixing the gas, and just removing the cable on the injection system?
thanks

at idle, the two slash marks on the pump and body should line up. you should run premix 50 to 1 until you get an idea, that the pump is working or not . measure the tank on a level surface, then after a couple tanks ,measure it again.

the marks are under the cover. if you are adding oil it works.
if there is a cable problem or the return sping breaks it will run wide open.
keeping the water out of the pump cover is the key to the reliability it seems.
most people pull the pump out.drive the pin out of the shaft. then the drive gear will come off. my stock still has injection my two modded ones are premix. It's not a problem mixing, i have to mix on my cr 250 anyway.
