I decided to wait on a project I've been thinking of for the X2. One of the main reasons is that I'd have to get a sheet of aluminum to use because of the thickness issue. $$$$$ The boat plugs I bought at Walmart are the lever type similar to the Polaris anchors. Using Chuck's trick I think they will work. The boat plugs I bought have a small disc on the bottom that is threaded so you can adjust the plug to expand just right when you lock the lever down. These can be removed holding onto them with Vise Grips or channel lock pliers. I think with Chuck's idea I could make them work just as well as the Lock-N-Ride ones. If I ever get around to it I'll post up some pictures.

Ordered up four today from Pure Polaris, should be here tomorrow (£12/$18).

I've made the box from 3/8 ply so I'll let you know how it goes.
