Default Hand and Thumb Warmers

I am considering buying some hand and thumb warmers for my sp800. I am thinking about the ones from Cabelas (since I have enough points on my credit card to pay for them). Does anyone have these or any others that they would suggest? Thanks.

I have a buddy who has them on a 2002 Sportsman 500. We ride in some nasty conditions and do a lot of winter riding. Last winter I had my best skiing gloves on that always kept my hands warm when I used to ski. We went out on a day when it was around 18 degrees and I thought my hands were going to drop off. He has the thumb and grip package and his hands were warm the whole day.

I put the Polaris hand warmers on My Grizz and LOVE them that work great and look good with the plastic switch vs a metal toggle one as well.

I too have been considering the hand warmers. Does a different size grip need to be used for the warmers that are just the heat tape. (not the whole grip) I just installed a new set of grips which I really like and hope I can reuse them.

I have never had a problem installing them on my bike. I just use a LITTLE BIT of dish soap on the inside of the grip and they slip right on. I sometimes need to use grip glue to keep them from slipping off as well.

Go to HOTGRIPS.COM and look at ATV INSTALLATION. Good info page and will apply to most mfgs. They make a great grip, but no thumb warmer.

If the ones you are talking about are the Symtec ones then they are great...They have 5 settings for each the hand grip and the thumb which can be set at different settings independently of eachother.....Moose winter pac is almost identical and I hear good things about them as well...I got my Symtecs from Cabelas....

Symtec-Inc makes the best ones IMO. We have them on both of current machines. We are using the 4 zone set-up which has seperate Hand and Thumb warmer controls (5 settings) and 2 auxillary inputs. 1 we use for a heated seat insert the other we use for the heated shield on our winter helmets. Also if you were to have an issue with them they are great at correcting it. I have also added their USB controller for charging my Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word  on the trails. We went with the gripless model so you can choose/change your grips if you want/need.

Hair spray works great for sliding them on, once they heat up the hair-spray acts like a glue and holds them in place.
