Default front end Whining noise

I have a 1996 Polaris Magnum 425 4x4. I have a whining noise coming from the front of the atv. I have adjusted the chains, made sure the front tightener is lubed, but still makes the noise. I wonder if anyone thinks the bearings in the tightener could be bad? or could it be another problem. Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome! When you say change the gearbox, are you talking about the tightener unit itself? Thanks!

the gear oil in the gear box, plus make sure the front awd wheel hubs are tight and have the proper amount of hub fluid.
