I have heard of people using a zip tie on the over-ride button. Never tried it myself though. It would be handy when plowing.

If the wiring for the awd is the same as the 500-800's then here's an easy mod. Pull the top off the headlight pod and locate the big wire harness going to the speedo. There should be an orange/white wire. Pigtail a wire off that and another off the ground wire from your accessory plug(or any ground wire). Hook both pigtails to a toggle switch. With the switch ON you should have full power/awd in reverse. You will need to put the switch in the OFF position to use the yellow override button to scroll through the different speedo functions. Hope this helps!

There is a way to do this with a relay so that you dont need another switch - just put it in reverse and go. I have found the instructinos on how to wire it on the older sportsmans, just not for my '08. I dont see what year your machine is.
