Default I hour to change a CV shaft

So it took my buddy and I like 4 hours to change the rear CV shaft on his Sportsman 400 due to lack of maintenance and cleaning, it took 1 hour to change mine on my 700. I grease all fitting as power wash the machine after every ride. He drownds his then parks it everytime.

Literally to get the inner CV housing out of the differential on his 400 I had to weld a piece of metal to it and use a 10 lb slide hammer to get it out. Mine was 5 or ten hard pulls on the shaft, pop.

What a difference proper maintenance and up keep makes.

I try to get my brother to understand this. He likes the "ride it hard and put it away wet" method and calls cleaning and maintenence "over kill". But when something breaks, it's "HELP"............
