hilliard clutch problem

Default hilliard clutch problem
Hey, I'm having a heck of a time with my awd... one hub won't engage. I changed the fluid afew times, if taken it apart and cleaned everything. It works alittle bit better but when there is a load on it like moving snow, it'll shudder then stop working. The last time I changed the fluid it came out brown. Do you think it could still be the fluid? I'm stuck and I don't know where to turn next

Check the armature plate for wear and warping

Well I guess I need a new armature plate... I have circles on mine...how long do they last and how much would they be at a dealer?

PLATE, ARMATURE
5211148 from here.

At a Dealer, maybe $150. LOL
