Better pull the air box and have a peek inside.

Also, did you use fuel stabilizer when you put it away the last time as varnish may be part of your runability issue.

No vacuum line just intake line and vent line.Take carb off and clean it good take the jets out and clean them.Take the belt cover off and blow out the ducts.Mice build nests in there and if plugged will blow a belt in a hurry

I`m sure your referring to the vent and drain lines. there should be 3 of them. the one on the bottom of the carb is an over-flow drain, the other 2 (1 coming from each side of the carb) I`m sure are vents, on my old trail boss they were linked together and need to be passioned somewhere higher than the mud or water will go.
When I first got my old trail boss i had someone redo the carb and he put all the lines pointing down to the underside of the quad and every time in went in mud or water deep enough to hit the floor boards the motor stalled. it took me some time to figure out it was the carb vent line that was causing the problem
This might not be the proper way to run them but I had to research everywhere and figure it out on my own it worked for mine I`m sure it will work on yours.
