Your choice of lube for gearcase and hub

Hi
Winter is back, the motorcycle is stored, time to get the scrambler out !
I wanted for a while to change all the fluid in my scrambler as I didn't really know how old they were except for engine oil thas as been changed when I purchased it 1 year ago (and I rode a lot less than 100hr in the last year). I'm gonna have some spare time during christmas vacations, and the snow is already here, so It's time to move on
I need to flush front hub fluid as I'm replacing a CV boot. I know this is a critical point of the AWD operation. Did someone had success using different fluid than the Polaris stuff ?
I have some knowledge about lubricant as a former technician in mechanical engineering. Since the recommended replacement fluid is ATF, and having seen how the hilliard clutch work, I think that the best fluid has to be very slippery while offering a good resistance to shearing. I tough about simply using synthetic ATF but remembered the cocktail I use in my car's tranny, and I'm thinking about trying Redline Superlight ShockProof gear oil.
Since gearcase and front T-case doesn't seem to be problematic, I tough about using 75W90 like Redline high performance GL5 or Motul Gear 300

I've been used to find way better stuff than the Brand label's, this is why I want to do my homework before this complete maintenance. Often, the great products are even cheaper than the brand label. But i'm not about saving a buck or two, it's more about finding the product that will be overkill enough that wear will end.
For example, since the engine oil on the polaris engines doesn't need to be compatible with wet clutch or synchro, you can use top-of-the-line automotive-style engine oil (instead of motorcycle or ATV oil) that will be much better for your engine. I picked up a gallon of Shell Rotella T6 5W40 (could have been mobil 1 or any other half-synthetic oil) so I could do two short spaced oil change, to get most of the residue out of the engine. Once the casing will be really clean, i'll switch to Motul 300V, Amsoil Formula 4 or something like that

Almost every Polaris trans has a chain. Castrol Syntec 5w50 will cause your chain to last longer than the Polaris fluid.
I use it in all my machines and all of my customers. I never have to replace chains in any of the quads that I use the Castrol in.
My advice for everyone is to drain their crap out of your quad the day you bring it home from the dealership. If you are worried about warranty change it the day your warranty runs out.
Mine will be drained the day it come home with me.
