broken rear chain
#1
Hey guys~
Well, I was out riding yesterday and my rear chain snapped. Luckily, I had 4 wheel drive, and was able to ride the 3 miles back to my trailer. Anyways, it was strange how the chain snapped...it wasn't at one of the o-rings, it was right in the middle of the link. Finally my question: Should I replace both the sprockets when I get the new chain? I've heard it's best to replace everything at the same time, but my sprockets show little wear on them. What's the best chain to get? Thanks to all who reply!

If your sprockets are not worn it will be OK to use a new chain, but it may cause the new chain to wear more quickly.
When I replace a chain, I always replace both sprockets regardless of condition. Gives me peace of mind when I am 50 miles from the nearest trailer!
