Default 2010 Ranger Crew 800 Sunk in saltwater

I just rescued a 2010 ranger that was on the edge of a marshy bank. It was only cover in water at high tide for 7-10 days. The owner said I could have it. So far, besides a little water in motor and alot in rear transmission, the only issues i have found are fusebox is shot and the balanced pulley on the engine side of the belt drive is has a plate on outside that looks like it was soaked in acid. I guess my question is what else should get ready for, and should i just rebuild or replace anything.

Check the oil to see if any water got in there. If so, drain and fill with fresh oil a few times. In addition to replacing the outside pulley I'd flush out the whole belt area with fresh water to get the salt out of there. Probably grease up any of the fittings to the point any water gets pushed out. Salt water is nasty.

ya salt water will destroy the engine bearings if you don't change the oil in the engine. imo

Thanks for advice, I drained all fluids and filled all to the max. Letting that sit for a day then I'm draining and filling to specs. Getting some fire to plugs is next. I'm thinking if I replace fuse box and ignition I should get fire. Then on to finding a drive clutch for belt.

Man, how do you find someone who will give you a 2010 Polaris Ranger for nothing? Are you always this lucky?

I'm waiting on title. should be here today. Once I have it. I'll run a second check on it to see if everythings legit. In the mean time I wanted to stop the damage from the water.

No insurance. Had new honda 150 and 80, green suzuki 350 four wheeler, and some pull behind polaris lawn equipment stolen from land in georgia. He is older with money and I guess he figures it's been sitting in salt for a week and might need new everything. This all started with me seeing it suck in mud thinking it was one of my neighbors. So I figured I pull it out and take to them. Then found out it was stolen. Does sound to good to be true. I guess we will see. I'll post some pics.
