Default 04 Polaris Magnum 4x4

My speedometer on my magnum 4x4 does not work. The gentleman that I purchased it from stated that because of this the 4X4 would not work either. I saw the 4wheel kick into action during our recent snow storm here in GA. If I replace the speedometer will the 4x4 work again or is it something completly different that I should be looking for?

Hopefully someone that has had the problem can give you a little more info, but have you checked the sensor on the wheel? I've read a few posts where they have fallen off and it disables the speedometer.

Thank you for the information. Where would I locate the sensor? And what would it look like?

It may look something similar to this. Is it an electronic speedometer?

(see bottom right insert)
